Kah Meng also reflects on the key elements that make B.O.B Marine stand out in delivering exceptional yacht charter experiences.

How and when did B.O.B marine get started in the yacht industry?

Kah Meng: B.O.B Marine started back in 2015, so we’ve been in the business for nearly 9 years now. The company was a collaboration between my business partner and me, with “BOB” standing for “Band of Brothers,” reflecting our focus on bringing friends and family together.

What yachts do you offer, and what are the key features clients tend to love the most?

Kah Meng:  At BOB Marine, we offer two yachts Golden Ocean and SardiniaGolden Ocean is a luxurious, smaller yacht for up to 18 people, ideal for intimate gatherings. Sardinia accommodates up to 36 people, with a large fly bridge that’s perfect for corporate events and larger parties.

Both Yachts are equipped with karaoke systems and complimentary stand-up paddle boards. Additional water toys like floating mats and lounges, are available for rent if needed.

What types of occasions or events do you most frequently cater to, and what makes your yachts ideal for these moments?

Kah Meng: We cater to a variety of events, including birthdays, weddings, proposals, and corporate gatherings, Golden Ocean is well-suited for smaller, more intimate celebrations like weddings while Sardinia is ideal for large corporate groups and parties due to its spacious layout.

Do you offer any special packages with your yacht charters?

Kah Meng: We provide bespoke services tailored to our clients’ needs. For events such as wedding solemnisation, we can arrange catering, decorations, and photographers. We can also organise team-building activities for corporate clients, offering flexibility based on individual requirements.

What is one of the most memorable or unique experiences a client has had aboard your yachts?

Kah Meng: A standout experience was when we brought our yacht into Marina Bay during the Formula 1 race. It required a lot of coordination, but our clients got to watch the race and fireworks up close from the yacht. They also enjoyed a unique view of the Merlion, seeing it from the water—offering a perspective that’s quite different from what people see on land. It made the entire experience even more memorable from our guests.

Do you offer overseas destinations, and if so, what are some of the most popular routes or destinations?

Kah Meng: Currently we don’t offer overseas destinations, as most of our charters are based within Singapore. It is something we might consider in the future. Overnight charters are possible, though they are less common, but we can arrange them if requested.

What do you believe BOB Marine’s key elements are to delivering a world-class yacht charter experience?

Kah Meng: At BOB Marine, the essence of our name—Band of Brothers—is central to our service. We focus on creating an experience where friends and family can come together comfortably out at sea. We don’t believe that yachts should be an uptight experience, like what you often see in Hollywood films. Instead, we want it to be a place for relaxation and enjoyment. Our crew and captain reflect this philosophy; they’re friendly, approachable, and dedicated to ensuring our guests have the best experience possible.
